To be funny (my weird sense of humor) I start reminding friends at the beginning of August that they have a limited number of shopping days left until my birthday. So if they forget I'm really surprised! lol
I probably wouldn't do anything except sulk a little. I'm not sure how I would feel. I would be disappointed and a little upset because a best friend is someone who should always be there for you. Part of me says I should take a step back and see what is going on in their life at the moment; is there some drama in their life? Is there stress and huge amounts of work? But the other part of me says; how long would it take to make a quick call or a quick email or something to say "I'm thinking of you on your birthday"?
This is something I'm used to from my family though, we've never been good about birthdays. Many a birthday has come and gone without even a call from anyone in my family. I try to at least call someone on their birthday. I do need to make a better effort though as I'm not always good at it with the family.

My best friend would walk the world over to get me a blade of grass I wanted, but he would never remember to call on my birthday. A disappointment, but given all he does I suppose I can let up.
