What makes a good life? I believe that a good life is a life of few hopes and expectations. In times of darkness, living with less expectations can really help us "hang in there"; when we don't demand and expect things to become better according to some preconceived notion. Then if things do become better we receive them with an open mind that doesn't clutch at them with dependency.
The Dalai Lama says: "Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time."
All of us are dying all the time, so if you are not fully living, you'd better start.
I love to live with passion and I hope that is what people will remember about me!

Good advice.....something I need to try harder at.
GREAT advice. I almost died in a car wreck at 21 (on my Mormon Mission), and have, since that time, ALWAYS tried to squeeze in LIFE....your message is worthy of real attention, Jim, thanks.
