The job: We're moving to a new work area and I officially start in my new position next week. Been in a lot of training and refresher courses this week. Lots of meetings too with the rest of the staff and managers. I'm taking Friday off, that means things have to be finished before I leave on Thursday night so when I get back next Wednesday I can jump right into work with no delays.
Prep for the weekend Day: On Friday I hopefully will go to the court and get the speeding ticket dismissed. I took the defensive driving course this week too and I am waiting on my driving record to come in (crossing my fingers that it comes in the mail today or tomorrow), I really would like to get the matter resolved and done! Then finish packing.
Vacation: Saturday morning I'm flying to Denver to spend a long weekend with friends. People will be coming in from all over colorful Colorado, Salt Lake City and Phoenix. It's the opening weekend for their Renaissance Faire. Yes, I am "ren geek" but this is more about seeing friends again. And drinking a lot of rum.
Back to reality: Monday night I come back home. Just in time to do laundry and start preparing for next weekend. I'll be headed to the Texas Hill country to marry my friends. I better start thinking about writing what I'm going to say. When I became an online minister I never thought I would actually do anything with it! But I love these friends and I'd do anything for them.
Daily Blog: I need to have some blogs already set up to post, it was a New Years resolution to write everyday!
Whew! It will be a busy end of the week and weekend! But I'm sure it will be great!
