I love to watch the opening and closing ceremonies! It is always focused on the people of the world coming together in peace. I love to watch the athletes come into the stadium by country, looking at their faces one realizes that we are all the same no matter where we happen to be born. We are all humans, we all share commonalities.
Last night it was especially emotional because of the death of an athlete from the country of Georgia.
My favorite part of the ceremony was k.d. lang singing "Hallelujah". I love that song, I thought I'd post it again here:

I love that song too and she nailed it.... I really love Olympic's time.... winter more than summer!
