I love animals! If it weren't for my allergies I would have a pet.
I also leave home at 7:30am and don't return until 7:30pm because I head to the gym right after work. That would be a long time to leave a pet inside. Plus I don't have a yard and I think a dog should be able to get out an run and play.
So... here's my idea for a new business. It would be called Pet Share or Part-time Puppy. I would match people up with different schedules who still want a pet, but not full-time. I would love to have a dog I could pick up in the evening from someone who was home all day, who works in the evenings or at night.
You could share vet costs, if you went on vacation the dog could stay with the other person full time, a built in pet sitter! You could take the dog every other weekend but still have a free weekend to come and go as you please and not have to rush home to go walk Fido.
What do you think? I would do it!

I have the same reason.
It might cause difficulties for shared pet in term of adaptation to many living situation. I don't think I'll share my pet with others, especially when bonding is already built.
That's a great idea! I'd love a dog so much, but apartment living doesn't allow it. And my schedule in Minneapolis really doesn't either.
Few things in life can bring more happiness to a man than a dog. I think you have a good idea and I hope you can act on it if possible. There are some hypoallergenic dog breeds you maybe could deal with.
I have my own idea, based on yours. I want to have a part-time bear as a pet. Or maybe a part-time porn star. Or better yet, a part-time bear-porn star! Where do I sign up for that?
When you have good business ideas don't share them like that online... You never know...

I am sorry that you are 1630 miles away...I would be glad to share my 2 Jack Russell terriers with a handsome guy like you. They are "daddy" crazy.
