When I was reviewing all my photos deciding which one would be interesting I noticed that I have been going to the renaissance festivals in costume since 2003! Wow, my 7th year... I didn't realize it has been that long now. It has been a fun journey and I have met so many interesting people and people that will be my friends for life. It has been well worth the investment in the costumes (ya'll don't want to know how much everything cost, but that doesn't matter when you love it).
I took this picture in May of 2008. I have seen the jousting many times but on this particular day there weren't many crowds so I had a great seat to get some pictures. This is an action shot in mid-joust!
I have gotten to know some of the cast; the King, Queen, royal court members and the knights personally in these 7 years. I truly love going to the festivals.
