Where have all the memes gone?

I've noticed something lately. No one seems to write or publish memes on their blog anymore! And who makes those up anyway?

I used to see a lot of people telling interesting tidbits about themselves and I would steal borrow them to post on my blog. But I haven't seen any lately? Why is that? Did they come from bored teenagers on Myspace or Facebook just making up random questions?

This got me curious and of course I had to google it. Here is what wikipedia says about the meme.

Huh! I thought it was something entirely different! This is what I knew a meme to be. From this page I found another link loaded with memes. Ones they want you to steal! Tomorrow I promise a meme that I found on their site.
