I know it's been a while... but here I go with the next Random Question:
Complete the sentence: When I look in the mirror, I ___________________.
This question came at a good time in my life. I would have answered it differently years ago and while growing up... and maybe even last year! But I am at a very content place in my life where I am happy in my own skin.
Sometimes I hope I see a younger version of myself in the mirror, but nope... it's me, a guy about to turn 49 years old in a few weeks.
Thinking about this topic makes me think of a song from an old obscure move that my mom loved called Lost Horizon. It was a musical from 1973 with the music by Burt Bacharach. Listen to the words of this song:
When I look in the mirror, I see me! Me as I am today. Me living in the moment. Me accepting myself; the flaws and imperfections, the good qualities and the slight craziness too! The broken nose that healed a little crooked. The gray hairs spreading more and more (damn them!!) I see the years that have shaped the person who I am today.

Someimes, I cry at what I see. Sometimes, I am amazed at who I see staring back at me.
I see an intelligent, confident, secure in herself woman who kicks ass every day and never apologizes for it!
