Yin/Yang

Yin and Yang: used to describe how polar or seemingly contrary forces are interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they give rise to each other in turn. They are complementary opposites within a greater whole.

I admit, there are many things about me that fit this: At times I'm very shy and other times I can be very outgoing.

Sometimes I'm very private and then I go and post a video of me dancing in my shower!

At times very happy and satisfied with life, other times I wan to crawl into a hole.

I attended BYU and was a Mormon Missionary. Then a few years later I was applying for a liquor license for my bar and deli in Baltimore. I am now a Pagan and proud to be!

Isn't life always like this? There are natural opposites in life. Should these opposing forces hinder or scare us? Not at all in my book... it's better if I embrace them and enjoy the differences.

Just sharing some random thoughts on a reflective Saturday morning.

Happy weekend y'all!

"...it's better if I embrace them" I agree.

You know how the sun and the moon tug on the oceans causing them to slosh back and forth a bit? You can't fight it. The tides are going to happen whether we like it or not.

The people and events in our lives do the same thing to our moods and emotions. It's better not to fight it. Just embrace it. We'll be better off for it.

Jungian psychology is all about this. It doesn't like extremes, the psyche is constantly trying to find a balance of polar opposites and paradoxes.
