I love historical fiction so a favorite of mine is Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.
Another one I really like because it combines a bit of sci-fi with history is Pastwatch: The Redemption of Christopher Columbus by Orson Scott Card.
And the last is The Charm School by Nelson deMille.

I love hearing about people's favorite books. Often I read them and find them just as good.
Orson Scott Card is now on the National Organization for Marriage board (the leading anti same sex marriage group) and has become EVIL.
