Well... I know I usually do the Random Question on Wednesday, but with this 30 day challenge I thought I'd do it today on my "Whatever" day. So, here is the random question:
What are you apt to do when you feel lonely?
I usually pick up my phone when I'm feeling lonely and start dialing or texting. At those times I want to connect with someone and just talk.
There are a lot of great people in my life that I don't always see or that don't live close and I use the times when I'm feeling lonely to reconnect with someone. It usually brightens their day because they hadn't heard from me in a while and it lifts my mood too.
I already am prone to worry too much and obsess on things, but I have learned that I need to reach out to people and not just wait for something great to happen to me. I make it happen. I've even had friends tell me that I called at the right time, that they were feel down too. We spend time catching up on what is going on in our lives, we share some laughs or we cry on each other's shoulders.
Even if I leave several people a voice mail or don't get a response to a text I feel better! I have looked up people and it has brought back great memories and even that lifts my spirits.
And to be honest... if it's too late to call friends and I'm lonely, porn helps! LOL!

well, the first thing I do is pick up my knitting...I can always find the peace I need as I knit; it's very meditative.
or I might read a book - something light (like chick lit) or hobby related. no heavy history or autobio.
or I may listen to a local internet radio station (50s-60s-70s music).
I usually don't call/text anyone.
and a glass of wine or 2 helps!
I read blogs and write comments; I never feel lonely this way.
