Friday night a friend and I tried it out. It was interesting! The building was originally a Long John Silvers, then a bar. People didn't like the bar because it still smelled of fish and chips. Everything now is painted bright yellow keeping with the Bee theme.
You walk in and wait in line to order your food at the counter. You grab a card to mark what you want,
because everything is a la carte. I kinda liked this because most Mexican restaurants serve rice and refried bean with everything, and I don't like beans. At all!I ordered a pork enchilada, a chicken enchilada, a chicken taco, chips and queso. My margarita was handed to me in a styrofoam cup... that was weird! Then I was told to wait in line. You watched the cooks make your food behind a glass wall, interesting but kinda weird. You can get takeout or eat in, I was handed a tray with my food and I found an empty table.
The enchiladas were great! You got your choice of corn tortillas, blue corn, something else (I don't remember) or flour. I like that I have the choice. You also chose your sauce on top and type of cheese. I liked feeling empowered like this so I thought my meal was perfect!
I judge a restaurant by the food so I will go back. Honestly though, I'm not crazy about the atmosphere or ambiance of the place. Overall though, I give it a thumbs up.

Since I'm coming from a different part of the world, I simply had to google it. 'Blue corn'?
You learn new things every day...
Mexican food and I are tight. Very, very tight. I love it.
