I am a vivid dreamer. I know for sure that I dream in color. There are many dreams that I remember from when I was a child, but honestly, I don't ever recall having a nightmare.
I guess the closest thing to a nightmare would have been when I dreamed that an alligator bit my toe. The dream was so vivid that I remember waking up from just being freaked out and then immediate relief that I wasn't in any pain! Then it instantly became funny!

I don't remember any dreams from my youth. Unfortunately, my adult life has been plagued with dreams about having to work for a living....only to realize those are not dreams, but, they are my reality. Hope your week is going well, man!
I'm lucky to say I've never had a nightmare. In fact, I can't remember ever having any sort of bad dreams other than having to give a speech and not having any clothes on. I have that one at least monthly. Most of my dreams have to do with peeing. Yup, urinals are a big part of my dreamscape.

Many of mine have taratulas in them, which always makes me wake screaming.
I remember the "pirate inside my bedroom door" dream. It was very scary.
