Tuesday's Tales - "Tales from the Closet"

It's been a while since I've told a tale... I'll try to do better.

I'll call this episode: "Tales from the Closet - Ties edition".

Ok, I have worked in retail and in banking my whole career where I had to wear a tie. Well, I owned a deli and a bar for a couple of years and wore what I wanted, but that's another tale for another time. Anyhoo.... getting back to today's tale.

Let's just say that I have this thing about ties. A weird thing about ties.

I have a collection of ties, just like my shoes. I have a lot of ties.

I have 48 at last count!

Here's the weird part. None of them are diagonal stripes.
Ew.
No.
Diagonal stripes are straight and boring!

What's in your closet?

There's been a lot more room in my closet since... well, you know. LOL! I did have diagonal stripes among my ties. Sometime the situation called for that. But my favorite tie to wear with a black suit was a black tie with white dalmatians on it. I still have that one. I also had a red and gray one with an abstract fish pattern. Loved it.

Even though I have no use for them any longer, I still have a couple ties in the closet. I think I've just forgotten about getting rid of them is all.

About the only thing in my closet these days is some t-shirts and a few pair of jeans.

Oh, and maybe an Air Force flight suit. ;-)

I prefer geometric patterns as opposed to randomness, so I guess I'm the boring one.

I have probably 4 ties.. no need for them here in AZ.
As for the rest of my closet.. it's a mess and I'm in there as part of the mess...LOL

Last time I wore a tie, it was 20 years ago at my wedding. I find them just too uncomfortable around my neck.

I agree with you about the diagonal stripes, however.

It's been a long time since I wore a tie...I used to when I was in auditing, but in my present job it's business casual - I don't miss ties at all!
