It's the finale of the 2nd Dancing With The Stars in 2011. Watching it makes me want to get out on the dance floor again.
1869 – In Dumbarton, Scotland, the clipper Cutty Sark is launched – one of the last clippers ever built, and the only one still surviving today. My friends just got back from a vacation in the Grand Cayman Islands. They were there for pirate week and they got to sail into the harbor of the city on a clipper like this.
Muriel Hemingway turns 50 today. I didn't know I was older than her!
And it's another of those weird dates that I find fascinating. A double digit day.
