My friends at Thanksgiving were telling me about the show and they loaned me the first season of True Blood on DVD. I've been watching it this week.

We are pretty new to TrueBlood as well. Just be forewarned season two dragged it down for us but if you stick through it Season 3 and 4 are AWESOME!

After the first season it got a little hit or miss but season 4 was great! and for season 5 it looks like Chris Meloni (Oz and Law and Order: SVU) should be joining the cast and a super powerful vamp.
We told you - you just weren't paying attention, you know, because you were playing dress-up 'n all that. ;)
Just by curiousity, have you tried any of the books?
ah, go Team Eric! anyhoo...they're good campy fun, tho' by now, i'm so tired of Sookie and her evil puss. i watch it for my dose of Eric, Tara, and Jason.
