A New Kind of Random Question

Welcome to ‘The Question’.

That’s Stephen’s from ‘The State of the nation UK’ new project after the end of the ‘5 on the fifth’. Stephen poses a question to all bloggers each month.

The first one for January ‘12 is:

What would you attempt if you knew you could not fail?

There are a lot of things that went through my mind when I read this question and thought of answering it. There are a lot of things I wish I could do better. There are things that I wish would have gone differently. But what would I attempt and not fail at? Because some of the answers I know will be followed up with: "well, just go to it!"

I read this question and project yesterday... I know I'm a day late (and a dollar short, as my dad would say). But I finally thought of something I would do... and why I just don't go do it now.

My answer: I would go back to school and get a degree.

Probably in the medical field. Then I wouldn't be limited in options of employment.

So... why not do it now?

It has been 30 years since I was last in study mode and I don't have the financial means. But... if I knew I couldn't fail I wouldn't worry about stuff like that.

This was a very interesting question. I look forward to next month's question.
