So why is my heading to this post "freezing"?
Our office is over air conditioned! To the point that I have a heater on, at my feet, most days at work! I think I have a theory on why it feels like a walk-in freezer:
- They think that bankers should be wearing a suit all day, which is layers of clothing. I don't wear a suit...
- More people in the country are a bit (or more) overweight and they have to cool the building to accommodate them. The people with less body fat are the ones who are cold...
- The building managers think that the hotter it is outside the colder it should be inside. I usually wear lighter clothing in summer...
- These same people just love winter! I don't....
Does anyone else have this problem?
BBRRRRrrrrr.....!!

Yes, I have the same problem at the office. You're not alone. I don't have a heater at my feet but sometimes I wish I had...
Work places are always extreme - too hot or too cold.
I'd rather be cold than hot. I can always put on a sweater if cold but can only get so naked if hot. Hmmm...I think I know why you like to be a little sweaty.
Yes Jim, it's a chronic problem. As a buidling manager, I can say that I can never seem to get it right. There are all sorts of reasons why, but that'd bore you to tears. I will say this, if there is a thermostat near you, your little heater is gonna fight with the building a/c. The building a/c will win.
:D
our office thermostat is set at 80; and we are cool but not freezing.
heat, however, is a problem. I need a space heater under my desk to stay warm during the winter. and so do several of my co-workers.
It is ironic the clinic treats bipolar conditions, for the AC either runs too cold or is off, then we roast.
