Friends

I had a great weekend with my friends. It was a much needed time to be surrounded with people who love me and who I love. My friends do not hesitate to say "I love you" often.

Jim & Paul
Part of my "MEH" mood last week had to do with another friend in Dallas who was just diagnosed with liver and pancreas cancer. When I got home last night I heard that he is comatose and not likely to last through the day.

I used to be really close to him and his husband and I knew them before they got together. They had been chatting online but not met in person when I introduced them to each other in person at the pride parade about 10 years ago.

This makes me think... did these friends know that I love them? I would like to think so....

Life takes all kinds of unexpected turns and the last time I saw them about 2 months ago things were going great for them. Cherish your friends and loved ones for we never know when things will change.

I'm so sorry about your friend, Jim. Thanks for the reminder, I've got some phone calls to make.

Well Jim, I'm running around today packing up my house and Greg and I are getting on each other's last nerve, so I am taking a break and reading blogs. When I read yours I kinda sorta burst into tears. I'm a wreck. I miss my Dayton/Cincinnati friends already.

{{{{{hugs}}}}} to you and your friend.

you are correct; we don't say "I love you" enough to relatives and friends.

I LOVE JIM!

I have seen a lot of my friends in the last week. I talked with Jim's husband Paul... and yes, they knew I loved them!
