Weekend Adventures

Dallas finally got a break from the heat! Woohoo!

I had bought a Groupon to go see the Chihuly exhibit at the Dallas Arboretum and this was the perfect day. I love the arboretum anyway. Even the loud annoying children and their unresponsive parents didn't bother me... too much.

Here are some pictures I took:
(BTW: these are all glass sculptures - see Dale Chihuly's site here)

Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Cubby - I think the second to last one was the hottest.

Are all of those actual flowers or just some of them and the others flower sculptures?

Looks like a perfect day.

hello gorgeous!

aren't dale's pieces marvy? he has purchased items from the company where I work; our products test stress levels in glass. wouldn't want any of those sculptures to shatter!

Interesting sculptures to be sure, although some remind me of exploding balloons for some reason.

And yeah for a break in the weather!

Very similar to the sixth picture work exists in the entrance of the London's Victoria and Albert museum. I really like that piece. Nice pictures...
