Cold feet

I notice that I get cold feet a lot.

Not metaphorical cold feet... but actual cold feet!

Have I mentioned before that I hate cold weather? I do! I would rather be sweating than a little bit chilly. There aren't enough layers to warm you up once you're cold.

This winter, maybe because I've had more down time while trying to heal, I've noticed that my feet often get cold. I always change clothes when I get home from work or the gym and I don't like wearing shoes in the house.

And I don't like to wear socks when I sleep... I don't wear anything! I don't like sleeping alone because I can't warm my icy toes up between another man's legs or gather his heat while snuggling. So how do I warm up my paws?

A blanket at the foot of the bed used to be enough. Now that doesn't seem to help. I'm grumpy when I wake up in the middle of the night with frosty toes. I HATE cold weather! ARGH!!

Maybe a fire will warm up my toes. Oh... this reminds me. I need to get some firewood for a fire for Yule that is coming in a few days!

We're opposites! I would rather be a tad chilly than too warm. I love warm weather, but hot weather is too much for me. I can always get warmer, but cooling down is difficult (I don't have air conditioning).

Hey is that pic one of you in your home (or one borrowed from the internet)? If it's you, I'll be right over. Between the beer and the fire, it looks like a bit of heaven on earth.

I love my Minnetonka moccasins.

I know this will sound bizarre, but try it: If your feet are cold, put on a hat.

There's a saying in my country. Cold feet, warm heart... :-)
